Respect for Thai people's sacred objects according to Buddhist principles.

Abstract

This academic article aims to study the respect of sacred things among Thai people today. The study found that respecting things with respect It consists of two parts: (1) things respected by Thai people and (2) effects of things respected by Thai people. The social characteristics of Thailand include freedom of expression of ideas and freedom of belief in respect. Which causes the impact of respecting many revered things in order as follows: 1) Characteristics of revered things in Thailand, 2) Patterns of holding revered things. and 3) the factor of holding revered things. Therefore, in respecting revered things among Thai people today, there should be an understanding of respecting various revered things to be appropriate and correct according to the 4 principles of Buddhism: 1) Mangala Sutta 2 )Julakammavibhag Sutta 3)Principles of Worship 2 and 4)Three Sikkhas can create the characteristics of respect to have wisdom and be able to respect things correctly. They can be divided into 2 types: 1) Persons and objects that are worthy of Respect and 2) Benefits that arise from respecting things that are respected. Promote self-development Seeing the common good So that Thai people's respect for things that are revered does not occur in a superstitious manner. Including being able to adapt such respect to achieve maximum benefit to yourself. and society at the highest level.
