Development of Career Course for Senior High School Level : Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate occupational career education curriculum at the upper secondary level in Nonthaburi Province. The target group is experts in the fields of Home Economics, and Curriculum and Instruction. there were 15 people. The research tools consisted of 1) occupational career courses. high school level that is consistent with the context of Nonthaburi province and 2) questionnaire opinions regarding the quality of career courses. High school level that is consistent with the context Nonthaburi Province. Data analysis using mean () and standard deviation (S.D.).

The research findings reveal that: 1) Students in Nonthaburi Province are interested in 5 various occupations, including chefs occupation, baristas occupation, online sellers occupation, gardeners occupation, and mushroom farmers occupation. 2) Students in Nonthaburi Province are interested in 8 various careers, including cooking, interior decoration, coffee brewing and decoration, flower cultivation, accounting, table setting, handmade crafts, and hotel reception coordination. 3) Occupational career courses. high school level that is consistent with the context of Nonthaburi province. Courses developed 5 curriculum subjects are identified, namely Thai Culinary Excellence, Professional Coffee Brewing, Agritourism, Mushroom Farm Closure, and Online Market Opening. Each subject includes course names, hours, descriptions, learning outcomes, and curriculum structures comprising unit names, unit descriptions, hours, and learning resources. 4) Course quality assessment results obtained experts in the fields of Home Economics, and Curriculum and Instruction. reveal that Every course has a level of quality the most ( = 4.63 S.D. = 0.02) The highest quality courses include Professional Coffee Brewing course has a level of quality the most ( = 4.70 S.D. = 0.08) next is Agritourism, Mushroom Farm Closure course has a level of quality the most ( = 4.69 S.D. = 0.09) and the course has a level of quality least is Mushroom Farm Closure course has a level of quality the most ( = 4.53 S.D. = 0.13)
