Guidelines for developing professional learning communities in schools under the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Secondary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the conditions, problems, and propose guidelines for developing professional learning community operations in schools under the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The research method involved two steps: Step 1 studied the conditions and problems of operating professional learning communities in schools. The sample group consisted of 304 school directors, teachers, and educational personnel. The research tool is a questionnaire to analyze data with mean and standard deviation statistics. Step 2 presents guidelines for developing professional learning community operations in schools by interviewing 5 experts. The tools used were interviews and data were analyzed using content analysis.

            The results of the research found that: 1. The overall operating conditions of professional learning communities in schools are at a high level. 2. Overall problems in the operation of the professional learning community were at a moderate level. and 3. Guidelines for developing professional learning community operations consisting of 31 action items, divided into 5 areas: 1. Building shared leadership, 5 items, 2. Team work together, 6 items, 3. Community support structure, 6 items, 4. Shared vision, 8 items, and 5. Learning and professional development, 6 items.
