The Eulogy of King Narai

Dhiravat Na Pombejra

Abstract

The Eulogy of King Narai, here presented in an annotated English translation, was probably written in the early 1680s by the head of the Brahmin department. It celebrates the king by listing the submission of rulers in all directions; describing the splendour of his palace at Lopburi; and recounting an elephant hunt.
