The mechanisms link between high performance work system and hospital performance

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of high performance work system (HPWS) on hospital performance by using human capital and organizational climate as a mechanical links. The data was collected from 169 hospital employees. The hypotheses were tested by path analysis technique. The results show that 1) HPWS have a positive effect on the organizational climate (both of concern for employee climate and customer) 2) HPWS has a positive effect on both of human capital and hospital performance and 3) Concern for employee climate and human capital are the mechanical links between HPWS and hospital performance. The practical application of HPWS and the future research are suggested in the last section of this paper.
