Guideline on Enhancing the Competency of Community Participation in the Performance Capacity Project by Sub-District Area Working Team in Nakhon Si Thammarat

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the level of ‘Community Participation’ competency in the Performance Enhancement Project by sub-district area working team in Nakhon Si Thammarat province by comparing the level of ‘community participation’ competency with the classifications of age, gender, educational level, current occupation, monthly income, and type of department within a residing area as well as a guideline on supporting ‘Community Participation’ competency of Performance Enhancement Project.
The methods used in this research are survey research and content analysis. The samplings in this research are stratified random sampling from 400 people. This research used a questionnaire. The Statistics used to analyze the data are frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-Test, F-Test (to test pairs of difference by Least-Significant Difference: LSD), using statistical package software.
The results of the research are (1) the participation level in the Performance Enhancement project in overall is in medium level. (2) The comparison of level of ‘Community Participation’ competency in the Performance Capacity project found that the differences in gender, age, educational level, monthly income, and type of department within a residing area resulted in a standard deviation of 0.05. (3) The guideline on Performance Enhancement of ‘Community Participation’ competency are:
- Collaboration Competency: to support the community in finding budget and natural
resources in order to drive a project that serves the community needs.
- Participation of Problem Solving Planning: to support the community in making a plan
according to the budget and time for performing.
- Participation of Performance: to support the community in using leadership to set the
process in order to take action as planned.
- Participation of Follow-up and Evaluation: to support the community in working as a
