IJLEA welcomes researchers, scholars, and students to submit research articles for publication in the journal with the following guidelines:

1. Article Types:
Research papers in the fields of language education, applied linguistics, and educational linguistics within the Asian region.

2. Publication Language:
Academic English is accepted by the journal. (In the case that English is not the author's native language, the article must be primarily checked for grammatical accuracy by a native speaker before submission.)

3. Length of Article:
The overall length of the article should not be less than 15 pages and not more than 25 pages of A4 size. (Include references)

4. Preparation of Manuscripts:
In preparing the manuscript for publication, please follow the conventions below:

4.1 Page Setup should be A4, 1.5 spaced and number each page. Leave margins of 2.5 cm. (1 inches) at the top and bottom, and 2.5 cm. (1 inch) on the right and left hand side of the paper.

4.2 Title should be written in English and centered using Tahoma, bold, 14 point font and should have only the first word capitalized and, where necessary, the first word after the colon (:), proper names and names of theories also capitalized.

4.3 Author's Name In the next line author's affiliation and E-mail address must be provided and centered under the title using Tahoma, 11 point font.

4.4 Abstract should be written in English and should be a single paragraph between 150 words and 250 words.
- English Type "Abstract" centered in Tahoma, bold, 11 point font. For the abstract body, use Tahoma, 11 point font.

4.5 Keywords are required for each article in English with a maximum of six keywords, separated by commas.

4.6 Text
- Headings require Tahoma, bold, 11 point left-aligned. All headings should be numbered.
- Body requires Tahoma, 11 point.
- Figures – type "Figure..." (Italicized) and the figure's name (Tahoma, regular, 11 point) below the figure and every figure must be referenced.
- Tables – type "Table..." (Italicized) followed by the name of the table (Tahoma, regular, 11 point) above the table.
- International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) requires Times New Roman, 11 point.

4.7 In-text Citation should be in Name-Year System as follows: Author's surname, A.D. Year, p./pp.

4.8 Footnotes/Endnotes requires Tahoma, 11 point and for publishing purposes, endnotes are preferred at the end of the main article rather than as footnotes to each article page.

4.9 References
Type "References" with requires Tahoma, bold, 11 point at the center of the page. Use APA style (please see: https://www.apastyle.org) in the reference list and use Tahoma, 11 point. In case the reference sources came from other languages such as Thai and Laos, please translate such references into English and put "[In Thai]" or "[In Laos]" at the end of the lists.

4.10 English Words require lowercase letters, except specific names for which the first letter of the word must be capitalized.

4.11 Use of Charts, Diagrams, or Graphs
Where the author intends to include a chart, diagram, or graph in an article, they must convert it into a picture file in order to ensure the clarity of the information or data contained in the chart, diagram, or graph.
Moreover, the author should carefully consider the font color, background color, and font size they wish to use so that the chart, diagram, or graph can be read clearly.

6. Evaluation
Articles should conform to all aforementioned requirements and must not have been published, and/or under evaluation process, in other journals, reports, proceedings, or other types of publications. Every manuscript will be read and evaluated through a double-blind process by an academic expert in the appropriate field.

Only original manuscripts will be accepted for review and on the condition that they have not been and will not be submitted for publication elsewhere. Every manuscript will be reviewed by at least two academic experts in the appropriate fields. The published articles need to be accepted by at least 2 of the 3 referees. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any material deemed inappropriate, or to make minor changes for presentation and format purposes only and accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of the content. Articles for each issue will be published in the order determined by the Editorial Board.
