Food Review Discourses and Linguistic Strategies on the Facebook Page “Cheevit Tid Review”

Abstract
This article aims to study the structure of food review discourses and the linguistic strategies on the Facebook Page “Cheevit Tid Review.” The data were collected for the period of 1 month during 1-30 April 2022, and finally a total of 54 discourses were obtained. Regarding the structure of the discourses on the Facebook Page “Cheevit Tid Review,” it was found to consist of 3 parts, namely the beginning, the body and the ending. As for the linguistic strategies employed on the Facebook Page “Cheevit Tid Review,” a total of 5 strategies were found, namely the use of positive words -- positive flavor words, positive texture words, positive odor words, and positive quantification words; use of references to refer to the food reviewing person and people who read food reviews; use of onomatopoeia; use of English words; use of words marked with
a hashtag (#).
