งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ด้านการเงินของโครงการปรับปรุงโรงพยาบาลสัตว์เล็กมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏอุดรธานี และวิเคราะห์ความอ่อนไหวของโครงการ การวิเคราะห์แบ่งออกเป็น 3 เหตุการณ์ คือ การคาดการณ์สถานการณ์ที่คาดว่าจะเป็นเมื่อทำการลงทุน (Base case scenario) สถานการณ์ที่รายได้ลดลง 14% ในขณะที่ต้นทุนไม่เปลี่ยนแปลง (Income drop scenario) และสถานการณ์ที่ต้นทุนเพิ่มขึ้น 5% ในขณะที่รายได้คงที่ (Cost rise scenario) ผลจากการวิเคราะห์ พบว่า ทั้ง 3 Scenario มูลค่าปัจจุบันสุทธิ (NPV) มีค่ามากกว่าศูนย์ อัตราผลตอบแทนภายใน (IRR) มีค่ามากกว่าอัตราคิดลดที่ 7% และอัตราส่วนของผลตอบแทนต่อต้นทุน (B/C Ratio) มีค่ามากกว่า 1 นั่นหมายความว่า โครงการลงทุนปรับปรุงโรงพยาบาลสัตว์เล็ก มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏอุดรธานี คาดว่าจะมีความคุ้มค่าในการลงทุน ภายใต้สถานการณ์และข้อสมมติฐานที่กำหนด ทั้งนี้ ข้อคำนึงอื่น ๆ ในการตัดสินใจลงทุน ยังมีประเด็นด้านต้นทุนและผลประโยชน์ทางสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ควรมีการพิจารณาในรอบด้านมากขึ้นในการศึกษาครั้งต่อไป
