Abstract

Under the research topic, Educational Management Model for Participatory Product Innovation: Linking Community Resources, Local Wisdom, and Sustainability Outcomes, this study aimed to: 1) develop an educational management model that promotes participatory innovation; 2) develop an innovative product prototype utilizing community resources and local wisdom to meet consumer demands; and 3) evaluate sustainability outcomes across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The study employed Participatory Action Research (PAR). The target group consisted of undergraduate students in the Modern Management program, majoring in Social Entrepreneurship. Their learning process was integrated through a Local Community Economic Development module comprising three courses. Research instruments included focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and consumer satisfaction assessment forms. The findings revealed that: 1) The most effective educational management model was the "Community-based Co-creation Learning Model," which successfully integrated academic knowledge with local wisdom. 2) The product innovation development resulted in a dietary fiber snack prototype utilizing agricultural waste. Consumer satisfaction was at the highest level, particularly regarding nutritional value and the reflection of community identity. 3) Regarding sustainability outcomes, the innovation generated economic value for the community, reduced agricultural waste based on Circular Economy principles, and established a strong collaborative network between the academic institution and the community.
