Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study of regions about cultural weaving cotton cloths, pass on local wisdom weaving cotton cloth and method local wisdom weaving cotton cloth of Tai-So Community to value creation to be cultural products by Participatory Action Research: PAR

Results of the Research found that forty years ago Tai-So communities disappeared from cultivation cotton, indigo-blue, white mulberry and rear silk worms according to extend the agricultural area and built house because the increase of population to impact “LONGKHUNG KHENFAI” Tradition disappeared from Tai-So communities to have Kusumal-Tha-uthen transport facilities tradesmen tradeswomen brought real thread, invented thread chemical dye including to weaving cotton cloth from factory to sell into communities to impact Tai-So have selection synthetic fibre and chemical dye to be raw materials of replacing thread and natural dye without pass on local wisdom about production cotton thread in present Tai-So family’s children learnt into province and adjoining province to pass on local wisdom about weaving cotton cloth to children diminished.

After passed on activity in research Phonjan sub-district Tai-So took awareness in conservation with local wisdom about cultural Tai-So weaving cotton cloth and established museum of Tai-So weaving cotton cloth into Phonsai temple to bring local wisdom about design patterned cloth and process Tai-So weaving cotton cloth to be lesson pass on modern various forms of Phonjan school including to bring products about weaving cotton cloth to value creation to be cultural products in various forms of Tai-So women groups which took support from Phon – Sawan District Municipal.
