Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) is an academic journal dedicated to publishing research in the fields of arts and culture within the Asian region. AJAC serves as a platform for presenting knowledge and academic discussions on arts and cultural issues. All submissions undergo a standardized Peer Review Process, evaluated by at least 2 experts in relevant fields through a double-blind review. AJAC provides researchers with a distinctive opportunity to disseminate their work without the financial burden of submission fees or Article Processing Charges (APC). Aims and Scope:
Asian Journal of Arts and Culture welcomes submissions of Research and Academic Articles, within the following topical areas:
- Cultural Studies: Asian Popular Culture, Media and Cultural Communication and Digital Humanities
- Culture History: Cultural, Intellectual and Social History about Asia, Heritage and Conservation
- Language: Asian Literature and Linguistics, Translation and Criticism
- Visual & Performing Arts: Theatre, Dance, Music, Visual Arts and Film
- Other Areas of Study: Asian Philosophy, Wisdom, Religion and Folklore

Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) formerly known as Walailak Abode of Culture Journal (ISSN (Print) 2228-804X during) 2000 - 2020. The journal was renamed to Asian Journal of Arts and Culture ( ISSN(Online: 2773-9953) since Vol. 21, No. 1 (2021).
Language:
Since 2021, AJAC accepts manuscripts in English only. Authors must adhere to academic writing standards and are required to have their manuscripts reviewed by a language expert prior to submission to the journal.
Publication Fee:
Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) is funded by the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion at Walailak University, enabling the editorial team to manage the journal independently and efficiently while promoting equitable and comprehensive academic exchange in the fields of humanities within the Asian region. As a result, AJAC does not charge fees at any stage of publication, including Article Submission Charges and Article Processing Charges (APC).
Publication Frequency:
AJAC publishes three issues a year.
- Issue 1 (January - April)
- Issue 2 (May - August)
- Issue 3 (September - December)
Open Access:
Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) operates on the ThaiJO online platform and the Open Journal Systems (OJS), an open-access journal service platform managed by the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Centre. This platform is fully accessible and free of charge, aligning with AJAC’s commitment to promoting open access research in the humanities within the Asian region for readers worldwide.
