Abstract

The objective of the Concepts and creative forms performance Pbu Moo Tan was to study the meaning, characteristics and influence of peony flower patterns in Thailand in the design of the elements of the creative works of dance to be presented in the form of a show by using qualitative and creative research methods by using research tools, which consists of the study of information from academic documents, books, related research, and field visits to conduct field surveys, and the experience of the researcher by analyzing the data to find the patterns of creative dance performances that convey the characteristics of the peony pattern. The results showed that the form of creating a dramatic artwork could be classified according to 8 elements, namely 1) Performance design, the expression was divided into 3 periods, the first period was the emergence of the peony, the second period was from the flower to the peony pattern, and the third period was the beauty of the peony pattern. 2) Casting, selecting actors who have a shape and ability that are suitable for performing. 3) Designing a dance style by using imagination to imitate the birth and blooming gestures of flowers. The pattern drawing includes the gesture design that conveys the peony pattern on the costumes and equipment. 4) The sound and music design used in the performance is a combination of Thai music that communicates the path of the flower's journey. Peonies come to Thailand with Chinese musical instruments using electronic systems to blend in. 5) Costume design, three costumes were designed, two actress costumes and one male actor costume. The first set was an ancient Chinese Hanfu dress to represent the birthplace of the peony. The second set was a modern design. The dress has a pattern of peonies. It conveys the value of the peony pattern on the containers, utensils, and costumes that can be seen in the present, and the third set is the male actors. 6) The design of the performance equipment using a brush to convey the process of drawing a peony pattern and fan to convey the peony pattern on the utensils. 7) The lighting design supports the atmosphere of the show to be more complete and convey emotions, feelings, and collective imagination of the audience and 8) The design of the performance space to be related to the line variations in accordance with the gestures of the performance and in accordance with the appropriate use of space on the performance stage.
