The Effect of Thai Language Lessons for Conversation in Real Situations for Foreigners

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to find out the effectiveness of the use of Thai conversation in real-life communication for foreigners, 2) to study the opinions of students and teachers towards the Thai conversation in order to Real-life communication for foreigners The samples used in the research were 20 foreign students. The research instruments were 1) The achievement test and 2) The evaluation form. The data were analysis by mean, standard deviation. Content precision Confidence and the correlation coefficient.
The results of The research found that:
1. The Experiment 1: 1 found that the textbook 1 at the basic level was 81.11/84.44, the second book in the middle level was 84.44/87.87 and the third book at the high level was 83.33/86.67. The small group experiment found that the first textbook at the basic level was 80.56/83.89, the second book in the middle level was 81.11/84.44 and the third book at the high level was 86.11/88.33. and in the field trial, it was found that the textbook no.1 at the basic level was 83.33/86.67, the second book at the middle level was 81.67/85.00, and the third book at the high level was 84.64/88.00 which was higher than the specified criteria.
2. The opinions of students and instructors, found that Chinese students have the highest level of overall opinions. With an average equal to (∑ = 4.56, µ = 0.44), while the Thai language teachers with the highest level of overall opinions With the mean equal to (∑= 4.56, µ = 0.53).
