Ethics in Using Social Media of Students in Phetchaburi Rajabhat University

Abstract
This research study aimed tostudy the level of ethics in using social Medias of Phetchaburi Rajabhat University students. Data were collected from 340 Phetchaburi Rajabhat University 1st year of the regular program students with questionnaires that applied from the ten commandments of computer ethics and data analysis using descriptive statistics.
The results were as followed: Phetchaburi Rajabhat University students have ethics in using social media as a whole, with the highest average score. When considering the ethical aspects, it was found the Phetchaburi Rajabhat University students had 2 levels of ethics in using social media, which were the highest level and the high level. At the highest level, there are 7 items with the highest average score being 1, which must consider what will happen to the society that arises from one’s own actions; the second is not using computers for information theft; number 3 is not using computers to create false evidence; number 4 is not disturbing the work of others; number 5 is not using computers to hurt or violate others; number 6 is use of computers with respect to rules, regulations, and etiquette; and number 7 is not using other people’s work; and at high level, there are 3 items which have the highest average score as 1, is not violating the use of computer resources without their own rights; the second is not copying other people’s copyrighted programs; and number 3 is not spying, editing or viewing other people’s file.
