Contemporary Chinese loan words in New Dai Lue Xishuangbanna-Chinese Dictionary

Abstract
The objective of this article is to study the types of borrowing words and the characteristics of contemporary Chinese borrowing words in the New Tai Lue Xishuangbanna-Chinese dictionary. The scope of the study is the vocabulary from the Tai Lue Xishuangbanna dictionary. The method of study studied the documentary data by analyzing the vocabulary which is to be a loan from contemporary Chinese. The vocabulary that has been analyzed is selected from the new Tai Lue - Chinese language dictionary. In which the selected vocabulary will choose only the contemporary vocabulary that retains the meaning of the original words in the Chinese language from the dictionary of Tai Lue Xishuangbanna for a total of 71 words. Which the words divided into three categories Including vocabulary that contains consonants, vowels and their meanings are almost the same as the original Chinese vocabulary in 40 words. Vocabulary with consonants and their meanings are the same as in Chinese, but the vowels have changed from the original have 22 words. Vocabulary with vowels and meaning of the vocabulary is the same as the vocabulary in Chinese but the consonants have changed from the original have 9 words. The results showed that the types of loan word are divided 3 types because the sound of the vocabulary has changed but the meaning is still the same. And the characteristics of the contemporary Chinese loan words chosen to show are newly emerging vocabulary or vocabulary that does not yet exist in Thai Lue Xishuangbanna.
