งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีของประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย 2) เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ของปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีของประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย 3)  เพื่อสร้างสมการพยากรณ์ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีของประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย ประชากรที่ศึกษาได้แก่ ประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย จำนวน 375 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้เป็นรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ (Frequency) ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (Standard Deviation) สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ (r) และการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยพหุคูณ (Multiple Regression Analysis)  ผลการวิจัยพบว่า  1) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีของประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 3.76  2) ปัจจัยทั้ง 4 พบว่ามีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกันต่ำ กับการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรี

ตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีของประชาชนในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย ได้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 ส่วน ปัจจัยด้านพรรคการเมืองหรือกลุ่มการเมืองสังกัด และปัจจัยด้านรูปแบบการหาเสียง สามารถพยากรณ์ ได้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .01 โดยมีค่าประสิทธิภาพในการทำนายร้อยละ 12.90  (R²  =  .129) จากผลการวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกตั้งนายกเทศมนตรีตำบลเขาแก้ว อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย สามารถเขียนสมการพยากรณ์ได้ดังนี้

Abstract

           The objectives of the research were 1) to study the level of factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, 2) to study the relationship of factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, and 3) to generate the predictors of factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei. The population of the research was a total of 375 voters in Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei. The instrument of the research was the questionnaire. The data were analyzed through the statistics comprised of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The research results were found that 1) the factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, were found to be overall at a high level ( = 3.76), 2) four factors were found to be positively related to the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, at a low level with the statistical significance of .01 (r = .206, 207, 282 and .237), and 3) the predictor, the factor of leadership, was found to predict the factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, at a statistically significant level of .05, and two predictors: the factor of the political party and the identified political group, and the factor of the formation of election campaign, were found to predict the factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, at a statistically significant level of .01. Those three factors were found to have total predictive efficiency of 12.90% (R² = .129). As a result from the analysis of factors affecting the voters’ decision-making in electing the Mayor of Khao Kaew Sub-district Municipality, Chiang khan, Loei, the predictors were written as follows:
