RESULTS OF TELEPHARMACY SERVICES IN DIABETIC PATIENTS IN KHAM MUANG DISTRICT KALASIN PROVINCE

Abstract

     This research has the objective to study the results of telepharmacy services in diabetic patients. Compare the number of problems with drug use Medication value recovered from medication list coordination before and after providing telepharmacy services and to assess satisfaction after providing telepharmacy services. The research format is action research. Collect data from questionnaires and review of medical records from July 2023 to November 2023. The sample group included diabetic patients whose disease was well controlled and who voluntarily participated in the project to deliver medicine to patients at home. With the remote pharmacy service system, there were 50 people, analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.

     The results of the research found that telepharmacy services produced good results for Kham Muang Hospital and diabetic patients. Both reduce the value of leftover medicine and help solve the problem of drug use at home. Comparing before and after using the program, it was found that the average drug return value decreased significantly from 182.11±186.78 baht per person to 82.61±110.06 baht per person (p<0.001). The number of drug use problems decreased significantly from 1.18±0.86 times per person to 0.50±0.94 times per person (p<0.001). The most common problem is that the medication is administered less than the doctor ordered. before the study, 22 percent, after the study it decreased to 10 percent, followed by the intention to adjust the medicine/stop the medicine themselves.Before studying 14%, after studying reduced to 4%. Most drug-related problems are solved by considering jointly solving problems with the prescriber or reporting the problem to the prescriber. and all solutions are accepted. Overall satisfaction after providing telepharmacy services was at a higher level. The greatest satisfaction was receiving the medicine within the appointed day. The delivery package is in good condition and the transportation system.
