Abstract
This paper explains the relationship between modern Thai gay lifestyles and the proliferation of masculinity consumption and construction in homosexual culture in which previous studies usually analyzed by psycho-pathological theory that saw Thai gays separated themselves from male effeminate transgender, Kathoey, because of worrying to be stigmatized as ‘ sexual pervert’ . This paper argues the new analytical approach that the proliferation and propagation of Thai homomasculinized culture is not resulted by psycho-pathological cause in which gays are anxious and scared of Kathoey. But this comes from the complicated process of sexual commercialized and commoditized male body and masculinity within modern gay consumerism and capitalist marketing that extremely arouse and stimulate the masculinity consumption and construction.
