The Development of Concepts in the Study of Urban People

Abstract
This paper investigates and reconsiders the theoretical concepts that were used to analyze and explain the human culture and society found in modern western industrialized urban setting. The urban studies began since the late 19th century to the present day within the different concepts and theories that generate the various explanations and understanding of urban life. In addition, it indicates that the implementation of theories is indistinguishably accorded to the changing social context in different times. Thus, the knowledge of urban society, culture and lifestyle is constructed by the assumption of what civilization and human progess is and how moral value has degenerated. As the problem of social conflict and inequality in diverse group of people. These kind of arguments still persist in the present.
