Abstract

Sociology and Anthropology have a long – standing tradition on the study of social life, especially since the 1920s when the Chicago school of Sociology has established the early developed strategies and systematically of topic and methodology in the city life. Fieldwork and ethnographic research are mainly concerned to understand people living in the city.


Anthropologists have shifted the interest on topic to urban area later along with the growth of the cultural studies at the University of Birmingham which provided the ethnographers work in issues and techniques in methodology regarding diversity of subculture groups in the city. The works analyzed the movement of people and power relation they perform their social group identity in the contemporary of city life and contributed to the kind of this field.
