การเมืองและการพัฒนาถนนบนชายแดน โครงสร้างพื้นฐานทางสังคมศาสตร์และมุมมองเชิงมานุษยวิทยา

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้ทบทวนกรอบมโนทัศน์ที่สัมพันธ์กัน 3 ประการได้แก่ โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน ถนน และชายแดน ภายใต้กระบวนทัศน์ทางสังคมศาสตร์ โดยมุ่งศึกษาถนนในพื้นที่ชายแดนในฐานะที่เป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ส่วนใหญ่มีรัฐริเริ่มลงทุนเพื่อการพัฒนาพื้นที่ หากอีกด้านหนึ่งถนนคือเครื่องมือทางการเมืองของรัฐในการเข้าไปควบคุมและจัดการพื้นที่ให้มีระเบียบ ชายแดนจึงเป็นพื้นที่ของความย้อนแย้งเมื่อมีถนนที่เป็นได้ทั้งการเชื่อมต่อและสร้างภาวะชงักงันในขณะเดียวกัน บทความนี้ชี้ให้เห็นว่างานศึกษาเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและถนนที่ผ่านมาอาศัยมุมมองทางมานุษยวิทยาและแนวทางชาติพันธุ์วรรณาในการทำความเข้าใจความเป็นการเมืองของโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน ที่ก่อให้เกิดปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมและการปะทะประสานภายใต้การพัฒนาบนชายแดนที่ส่งผลกระทบหรือผลที่ตามมาข้ามพื้นที่และเวลา
