อ่าน "บันทึกคู่ขนาน" ที่ทางและความหมายของการเขียนเรื่องเล่าในฐานะปฏิบัติการดูแลในโรงพยาบาล

บทคัดย่อ
บทความชิ้นนี้พัฒนาขึ้นจากโครงการวิจัยชาติพันธุ์นิพนธ์โรงพยาบาลและมานุษยวิทยาของการใส่ใจดูแล ซึ่งจะนำเสนอกระบวนการประยุกต์ใช้ศาสตร์เรื่องเล่าทางการแพทย์ในการออกแบบ “บันทึกคู่ขนาน” ที่บุคลากรทางการแพทย์สร้างขึ้นเพื่อบันทึกประสบการณ์และอารมณ์ความรู้สึกที่เกิดขึ้นในการดูแลรักษา เนื่องจากก่อนหน้านี้เรื่องเล่าในลักษณะดังกล่าวไม่เคยถูกบันทึกและนำไปใช้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของปฏิบัติการดูแลในโรงพยาบาล จากการวิเคราะห์เรื่องเล่าที่ถูกบันทึกในโรงพยาบาลนำร่อง 2 แห่ง พบว่าการจดบันทึกคู่ขนานสะท้อนให้เห็นความหมายและปฏิบัติการดูแลของบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป โดยเฉพาะการตระหนักถึงอารมณ์ความรู้สึกและความเฉพาะเจาะจงของผู้ป่วยและญาติ การให้ความสำคัญกับสิ่งแวดล้อมและวัตถุสิ่งของในการสร้างประสบการณ์การดูแล ตลอดจนวิธีการดูแลที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนต่อความเป็นมนุษย์
