A Comparison of English Grammar Structure Achievement of mathayomsuksa 1 Students by Using The Method of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and The method of Grammar translation

Abstract

        The purposes of this experimental research were to compare the English Grammar Structure  Achievement of the mathayomsuksa 1 students between the method of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and the method of Grammar translation. The sample consisted of 54 mathayomsuksa 1 in the second semester of academic year 2019 from The Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University. There  were  two  experimental condition, the  method  of  Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD)  , Experimental  Group  and  the method  of  Grammar translation, Control Group. Each group consisted of 27 students. The  experimental  group  was  taught  by the  method  of  Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), while  the  control  group  was  taught  by the  method  of  Grammar translation.The research tools were the lesson plans of the method of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and Grammar translation. And the test of the English grammar structure achievement.The data was analyzed by Mean, Standard Deviation, and statistical test, t-test.
        The result of research were found that the English grammar structure achievement of  experimental  group, the  method  of  Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) was  significantly  difference  from  the  control  group, the method  of  Grammar translation  at           the 0.05 level
