The Operation of the Audit and Monitoring Committees of Police Administration at Kranuan Police Station, Khon Kean Province

Abstract

        This research is a quanlitative research which aim to study 1) Procedures of  the Audit and Monitoring Committees of Police Administration at Kranuan Police Station, Khon Kean Province (AMCPA) 2) Problems of the operation of AMCPA, and 3) Provide a guidance on the operation of AMCPA for a more efficiency. There are three methods were applied in this research; documentary study, interview, and observation. The  participants are fourteen of the Audit and Monitoring Committees of Police Administration at Kranuan Police Station.
        The result found that the operation of the AMCPA was run as a consulation meeting to gather the opinions of the represents of AMCPA from various sectors. In addition, the consulation meeting were held both in and out of government offices, such as withinKranuan Police Station, and meeting room in hotels or restaurants in Kranuan District. The meeting provided an opportunity for all of the represents of AMCPA to share there opinions and suggestions on the operation of AMCPA and other 11 actions. Furthermore, it showed that there are 7 issues in the operation of AMCPA such as manpower, timing, public service, and location. Finally, There are 9 guidelines were provided for the operation of the AMCPA. For example, firstly, the AMCPA must play a role in policy-making for their police station. Secondly, the monitoring of the implementation of the policy should be applied. Next, the AMCPA shold play a role in resolving disputes. Moreover, public participation should be encouraged. In order to coordinate and resolve the problems for a fairness for all, the AMCPA should be and extensive knowledge man who accessible, well-known, and take the public interests firstly.Also, the AMCPA should has a connection between police and people and provide a convenient channel for all to contact or complaints.
