Elderly’s Life Quality in Roi-Kean-Sara-Sin Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: (1) to study the elderly’s quality of life  in Roi-Kean-Sara-Sin Province (2) to compare the elderly’s quality of life  in Roi-Kean-Sara-Sin Province defined by personal factors and 3) to study the elderly’s quality of life development solutions in Roi-Kean-Sara-Sin Province. This research was a mixed method using quantitative and qualitative method. Instruments were questionnaire and interview form. Samples were elderly in Roi-Kean-Sara-Sin Province  totally 400 samples using stratified random sampling and informants were consisted of 8 representatives of Local Administrative Organizations using specified sampling. Statistics used data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation t-test (Independent Samples) and F-test (Oneway ANOVA) multiple linear regression anlaysis.
          Results of this study were found as follow.
          1. Quality of life of the elderly in the province of Roi Ka San Sin Province Overall, it was at the moderate level (xˉ = 2.72). Well-being Physical condition Interpersonal relations And in social groups At the moderate level (= 2.84, = 2.77, = 2.68, = 2.60) respectively. 2. The elderly with different occupations. There was a statistically significant difference in the overall quality of life level at 0.01 and 3. Solutions for improving the elderly’s quality of life of the in Roi Ka San Sin Province were consisted of organizing speakers to do exercise, eating and taking care of proper health. Network with the community and getting involved with relevant agencies and organize more religious / social activities for the elderly in the community.
