An Applicatiow of the Principle of the Four Paths of Accurplishment of the Administraion of Kut Jab Accurplishment, Kut Sub District Udonthai Prouiwce

Abstract

          The research entitled “An application of the Four Paths of Accomplishment for the work administration of Kut Jub Municipality in Kut Jub District, Udonthanin Province” was the qualitative research by studying documents and field study. The researcher’s purposes were; 1) to study the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment in Theravada Buddhism 2) to study the problem situations of Kut Jub Municipality administration and 3) to study how to apply the principle of the Paths of Accomplishment for Kut Jub Municipality administration
          From researching in accordance with the purposes it  was found that the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment in Theravada Buddhism is the foundation of an accomplishment, that is to say, it is the virtue that is the instrument leading to the accomplishment as one requires. One who wants to meet the successfulness must complete himself with the things called the Paths of Accomplishment that can be classified into 4 items, that is, 1) Chanda means the aspiration in what one thinks as the best things that would be received by human beings. This is the first reinforcement that produces the virtue and the next items. 2) Viriya means the effort, that is, the continuous performance, not lack in the middle, to be long range until to reach the success. This word is the meaning of the mixed bravery 3) Citta means the rejection of that thing from the feeling and to practice in accordance with that purpose clearly and always to make in memory. The meaning of this word includes the meditation also and 4) Vimamsa means an analysis of cause and effect of accomplishment related to those matters deeply all the time. This word includes the wisdom completely.
          The problem situation of Kut Jub Municipality administration has the 9 policies for the development, that is, 1) the policy for preserving the institution of Nation, Religion and King and enhancing the democratic form of government regime that has the King as the Leader 2) the policy for the aspect of education, religion, tradition, culture, local wisdom and sports 3) the policy for the economic aspect 4) the policy for aspect of the structure of foundation 5) the policy for the aspect of protection and reduction of public hazard 6) the policy for the aspect of public health, social assistance, and the life quality of people 7) the policy for the aspect of life security and properties of people and for protection of crime and reduction of the drug problem 8) the policy for preservation of the natural resources and environment 9) the policy for the aspect of people’s participation. For every policy, the majority of Kut Jub municipality leaders still have some problems that are the related political problems and still have good participation from people as well.
          The application of the Four Paths of Accomplishment for work administration of Kut Jub municipality Province is the integration of the projective activities of the municipality, community and temples as one unity by the integration of all subject matters as related with art work, culture, tradition, rituals and local wisdom in order to create the unity in participation among the government sector, that is, the community leaders in the Municipal Area and Temples in Municipal Area will persuade the local people to participate in managing various activities for charity, moral preserving, and spiritual refinement by using the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment conductive to the occupation based on the Four Paths of Accomplishment. This is because people will be endowed with the knowledge and to understand the way how to proceed their lives for accomplishment and to enhance the quality of life in the way of Buddhism happily and sustainably.
