The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Operation of Na Kham Hai Sub-District Municipality in Mueang District of Nong Bua Lamphu Province

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to study 1) Disaster prevention and mitigation operations, 2) to compare the level of disaster prevention and mitigation operations, and 3) to suggest guidelines for disaster prevention and mitigation operations of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality. Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province The samples used in this research were 370 residents of Na Kham Hai Sub-district Municipality, using the formula of Taro Yamane (Ymane, 1973 : 8). The instrument was used to collect data. It is a questionnaire about people's opinions on disaster prevention and mitigation operations. It consists of 3 parts: statistics used in data analysis. are descriptive statistics, i.e. number, percentage, mean, and standard deviation for the general data of the sample. The inferential statistics were T-test and F-test for comparing the level of disaster prevention and mitigation performance of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province. classified by gender, age, educational level and occupation. The results showed that
          Disaster prevention and mitigation operations of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province Overall, it was at a moderate level (= 3.36, SD = 0.57) and when considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest mean was the personnel providing disaster prevention and mitigation services ( = 3.45, SD = 0.76), followed by The process aspect of disaster prevention and mitigation services ( = 3.34, SD = 0.66) and the least mean aspect was the facility aspect ( = 3.29, SD = 0.68).
          Comparison of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Operations of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province Overall, it was found that people with sex, age, education level and different professions It was found that disaster prevention and mitigation operations of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province, in terms of occupation, caused people's opinions to differ with a statistically significant level at the 0.05 level. It was found that the opinions of the people were not different.
          Suggestions for improvements in disaster prevention and mitigation operations of Na Kham Hai Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province: should support sufficient resources in policy implementation for local agencies, whether in terms of budget, personnel, tools and equipment.
