The Characteristics of Educational Institution Administrators in the 21st According to the Dutiyapapanika Sutta of the Administrators under the Udonthani Secondary Educational Service Area Office District 23

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the characteristics of the administrators of educational institutions in the 21st century according to the Dutiyapāpaṇika Sutta of the administrators under the Udon Thani Secondary Education Service Area Office; 2) to study the guidelines for the characteristic development of educational institution administrators in the 21^st century according to the Dutiyapāpaṇika Sutta of the mentioned administrators. This study was carried out by means of the mixed method research. The samples included 260 of administrators, heads of 4 departments and teachers selected by Simple Sampling. There were 8 key informants selected by Purposive Sampling. The tools used in data collecting were a questionnaire and interview form with its reliability value of .973. Statistical data were analyzed by using a computer program using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation
          The research results were as follows:
          1) The characteristics of the administrators of educational institutions in the 21st century according to the Dutiyapāpaṇika Sutta of the administrators under the Udon Thani Secondary Education Service Area Office in overall and each studied aspect were statistically rated at a high level.
          2) The guidelines for the characteristic development of educational institution administrators in the 21^st century according to the Dutiyapāpaṇika Sutta of the administrators were found in 6 aspects: (1) Vision: administrators should have a broad vision for the success of the organization with targets and a clear management policy. (2) Academic knowledge, ability, communication, and technology: administrators should be the ones who are curious, constantly researching, constantly researching and studying in educational administration both domestically and internationally in order to bring knowledge to manage educational institutions to have quality. (3) Innovators and entrepreneurs: administrators should follow new management techniques and apply them according to their organization's context. (4) Positive motivation and inspiration: administrators should develop leadership and speaking skills to persuade others to work with pleasure and willingness. (5) Good model: they should act as a good role model to others to gain love, trust and faith from the subordinates so that they can work accordingly with pleasure and willingness. 6) Building a learning community: educational administrators should have knowledge and have a clear policy to promote the creation of learning communities.
