The Preparation for Curriculum Administration on Competency- Based of Educational Opportunity Expansion Schools Under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

          This study aimed to study guidelines for the preparation for curriculum administration on competency-based and examine operational feasibility of guidelines for the preparation for curriculum administration on competency-based of educational opportunity expansion schools under the office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 1. The first step was to study guidelines for the preparation for curriculum administration on competency-based. The informants were 5 experts. The in-depth interview was used for collecting information. The data were statistically analyzed using content analysis. The second step was to study operational feasibility. The samples were 226 school administrators and teachers who work in educational opportunity expansion schools under the office of Phichit Primary Education Service Area 1 by Stratified Random Sampling method. There were 16 school administrators and 210 teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation.
           The results showed that:
          1. Guidelines for the preparation for curriculum administration on competency-based of educational opportunity expansion schools under the office of Phichit Primary Education Service Area 1 were 17 approaches as following; 4 approaches of course preparation, 5 approaches of curriculum organization, 3 approaches of curriculum implementation, and 5 approaches of curriculum evaluation.
          2. Operational feasibility of guideline for the preparation for curriculum administration on competency-based of educational opportunity expansion schools under the office of Phichit Primary Education Service Area 1 had overall scores in the high level. When considering each aspect, the highest score was Curriculum Organization and the lowest score was Curriculum Evaluation.
