Efficiency of poverty alleviation projects a Case study of Baansriwilai Mahachai Sub-district, Saingam District, Kamphaeng Phet Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to study the 1) efficiency of poverty alleviation projects 2) compare the personal factors to the efficiency of poverty alleviation projects and 3) problems and obstacles of poverty alleviation projects. This research applied the Quantitative Research with the Survey Research. The sample was 271 people from the calculation formula of Taro Yamane. The research instrument was the questionnaire. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.
          Results of the Research 1) Overall, the efficiency of poverty alleviation projects was at the high level.  2) The comparison of the personal factors to the efficiency of poverty alleviation projects found that the people having the different genders, ages, status, education occupations, income and duration in living had no the different opinion to the efficiency of poverty alleviation projects: a case study of Baansriwilai Mahachai Sub-district, Saingam District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. 3) The problems and obstacles of poverty alleviation projects were that the poverty alleviation projects had no the obvious operation center, the committee of the poverty alleviation projects did not consider the rules , the possibility and the types of the occupation for the consideration in the project management and the loan approval, the poverty alleviation projects did not support and follow the occupation of the target households, and the target households had the income lower than the standard of the base needs.
