The Development Reading Comprehension Achievement of Matthayomsuksa 1 students By Skill Practice with the 9 Question Technique

Abstract

          The aims of this research were to 1) create and determine the effectiveness of the reading comprehension skill based on the 80/80 criteria. 2) compare learning achievement before and after learning with the reading skills exercise, and 3) investigate Matthayomsuksa 1 students' satisfaction with the use of the reading comprehension skill exercise. This research is quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 42 people in Matthayomsuksa 1, the academic year 2021, from BangKrathumpittayakhom School by a specific random method. The reading comprehension accomplishment exam, reading comprehension skills exercises, and satisfaction questionnaire was used in this study. The statistics used for the data analysis were mean percentage, standard deviation, and the conformity index value.
          The analysis indicated that;
          1. The efficiency of the reading comprehension skill exercise created and determined for Matthayomsuksa 1 students who used the 9-question technique was 81.19 /82.62, meeting the 80/80 criteria established.
          2. A comparison of pre-study and post-study accomplishment with the reading comprehension skill exercise of Matthayomsuksa 1 indicated that students have higher scores after using the reading comprehension skills exercises, with a statistically significant level of 0.5.
          3. The findings of a study of Matthayomsuksa 1 students' attitudes on the use of the reading comprehension skill practice. Overall, the degree of satisfaction was high, with (X = 4.39, S.D. = 0.16).
