The Comparison of Learning Achievements in Science on the Topic of Fossil Fuel on Matthayomsuksa 2 of Mathayomwatsing School by Using the Learning Activity Package and Normal Teaching

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were 1) to create and to find the effectives of using the learning activity package on the topic Fossil Fuel with efficiency according to the criteria 80/80, 2) to compare students’ learning achievement on the topic of Fossil Fuel on Matthayomsuksa 2 by using the learning activity package and normal teaching, 3) study the satisfaction of Matthayomsuksa 2 students towards teaching using a package on the topic Fossil Fuel. The sample was Matthayomsuksa 2 students at Matthayomwatsing School, which were obtained based on a simple random sampling by drawing  lots from two classrooms. Matthayomsuksa 2/7 was the experimental group taught by the learning activity package and Matthayomsuksa 2/6 was the control group taught by normal teaching. The instruments of the research were 1) the learning activity package, 2) the lesson plan on learning activity package, 3) the lesson plan on normal teaching, 4) the test of learning achievement, and 5) Questionnaire on satisfaction. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test independent.
          The findings found that 1) package on the topic Fossil Fuel of Matthayomsuksa 2 students showed the efficiency of 89.33/80.83 which followed the prescribed standard, 2) the learning achievement of science subject on the topic Fossil Fuel of Matthayomsuksa 2 which were taught by the learning activity package was significantly higher than the normal teaching at statistics .05, 3) Matthayomsuksa 2 students were satisfied with being taught by package on the topic Fossil Fuel at the highest degree.
