Factors Affecting Online Teaching and Learning among Students in the course of the Department of Engineering Mathematics 1 Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University year 2021

Abstract

          The objectives of this research are 1) to study factors affecting online learning management of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University, Academic Year 2021 Case Study: 0300130 Engineering Mathematics 1 Subject. 2) To present guidelines for developing and solving basic subject problems.  The samples used were teachers teaching 0300130 Engineering Mathematics. The teaching and learning were divided into 14 groups with an average of 80 learners in each group. The instrument used was a questionnaire with  a reliability of 0.96. This questionnaire consisted of 4 factors: teacher, lesson, student, and technology. Data were analyzed using statistical methods to determine the percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that the most influencing factor for the online teaching and learning of Engineering Mathematics 1 was the teacher aspect. This factor averaged 4.176. Factors that affected teaching arrangements were followed lessons, technology, and student. The mean values of all three factors were 4.000, 3.762, and,3.519 respectively.
          The main recommendations for the development of online teaching and learning in the subject 0300130 Engineering Mathematics 1 are as follows: Teachers should have an agreement and understanding among teachers about the content or the use of corresponding teaching materials. There is also a guideline for giving homework problems so that students can practice more in the same way. It can be said that the results of this research can be used as a guideline for the development of online learning management at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University is a basic subject or subject with many instructors with more clear direction.
