Role of school administrators in promoting reading habits of students under the Lampang Primary Education Service Area Office 1

Abstract
The purposes of this study were 1) to study actual roles and expected roles of school administrators in promoting reading habits of students under the Lampang Primary Education Service Area Office 1 and 2) to compare roles of school administrators in promoting reading habits of students under the Lampang Primary Education Service Area Office 1 according to sizes of school. This is a descriptive research. The survey data was collected from 232 samples by using 5 rating scale questionnaires. Data from questionnaires were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and F-Test (One-Way ANOVA) in case of paired comparison according to Fisher’s Least Significant Difference (LSD) method was also used.
The results of the research were as follows:
1.The actual roles and expected roles of school administrators in promoting reading habits of students under the Lampang Primary Education Service Area Office 1. The overall and every aspect were at the high level. The actual roles had an average of 4.09/ S.D. 0.58 and expected roles had an average of 4.28/ S.D. 0.51.
2.The comparison of roles and expected roles of school administrators in promoting reading habits of students under the Lampang Primary Education Service Area Office 1 according to sizes of school. Overall there was no difference. For considering, paired testing, aspects and sizes of school showed that the actual roles of reading habits promoting networks with the significant difference at the 0.05.
