The Success of Thai Women Empowerment Funds Policy Implementation in Mae Raeng Subdistrict, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province

Abstract

             The purposes of this research were 1) to study the model of Thai Women Empowerment Funds Policy to practice in Mae Rang Sub-district, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province of the Office of the Secretariat of the Sub-Committee on Screening and Monitoring the Operations of Thai Women Empowerment Funds, and 2) to study factors affecting the success of
the implementation of Thai Women Empowerment Funds policy of the Office of the Secretariat of the Sub-Committee on Screening and Monitoring the Operations of Thai Women Empowerment Funds, to practice in Mae Rang sub-district, Pa Sang district, Lamphun province. This study is a qualitative research. Collected data by the study Documents and
In-depth interview. The main informant population was divided into 3) groups: 1) Policy Level, 2) Practitioner Level, and 3) Public Level, totaling 13 people.
         The results of the study showed that 1) The implementation of Thai Women Empowerment Funds in Mae Rang Sub-district, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province,
in the form of sub-committees and working groups at the sub-committee, district and provincial levels. 2) The important effect that affected the success of policy implementation in the area the most was the attitude of the practitioners, and the least is the factor of the nature of the agency that implements the policy. Therefore, the suggestion from this study were 3) recommendations: 1) Local government organizations should be assigned to have roles and responsibilities in the development fund operation roles of women at sub-district level 2) Issuing announcements helping debtors who are in trouble should only issue one copy
to cover and consider the actual assistance criteria. 3) Should increase the manpower of the fund staff at the district level, In order to increase the efficiency of Thai Women Empowerment Funds in the area.
