Abstract

          This research aims to study the music interpretation in piano playing for teaching high school students at Taiyuan art school, Shanxi, China. This study uses qualitative research. The researcher collected data by interviewing five piano teaching experts at Taiyuan Art School in China.
          Research findings found that through these teaching strategies in teaching musical interpretation in piano, we can effectively improve the emotional expression ability of high school students so that they can understand and experience the emotional connotation in music works more deeply and express their emotions more authentically in piano performance, thus showing a higher level of emotional expression in music performance. This will help cultivate students' more comprehensive music literacy and enhance their overall ability in music learning and music composition.
