Thai Song Dum OTOP Inno-life Tourism Communities at Ban Huayhang, Nonglum Subdistrict, Wachirabarami District, Phichit Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the state of the Potential Development of Thai Song Dum’s Way of Life OTOP Community Tourism, 2) to study the problems and difficulties of the potential development of Thai Song Dum’s Way of Life OTOP Community Tourism, and 3) to present the guidelines for the potential development. This study applied Mixed Methods Research consisting of Quantitative Research by collecting the questionnaires with 0.888 reliability from 164 customers and the statistics used in the study included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative Research was conducted through in-depth interviews with 9 key informants and analyzed by descriptive mode.
          The results of the research were as follows: 1. The state of the potential development of Thai Song Dum’s way of life OTOP community tourism found that it was at a high level. 2. Problems and difficulties of the potential development of Thai Song Dum’s Way of Life OTOP Community Tourism found that 1) lack of good management, 2) high price of woven products, 3) new generations do not really come to learn Thai Song Dum culture, 4) few tourists visit, 5) inadequate facilities in the community and, 6) lack of cultural inheritance tradition. 3. Guidelines for the potential development of Thai Song Dum’s Way of Life OTOP Community Tourism found that cultural activities should be applied, integration of cooperation with government agencies in community tourism, development of product quality, development of public relations via online social media, strategy preparation to promote youth participation in various activities.
