Abstract

The theme of this research is the protection, inheritance, and management of Ningxia papercut culture in China under the industry-academia-research model. The research aims to: (1) study the production techniques, decorative patterns, and inheritance of Ningxia papercuts. (2) explore the characteristics and value of Ningxia papercut culture. (3) research the industry-academia-research model for the protection, inheritance, and management of Ningxia papercut culture, to provide references for the future development of Ningxia papercuts. The research methods employed are literature review, field surveys, and interdisciplinary studies. Results show:(1) Ningxia papercutting skills are exquisite, including pattern design, paper selection, scissor techniques, pasting and fixing, and decorative processing. The decorative patterns are diverse, commonly featuring elements such as flowers, birds, figures, animals, etc., with distinct Hui cultural characteristics.(2) Ningxia papercut culture has a rich historical background and cultural connotation. It is an important part of the Hui traditional culture, bearing people's emotions and value concepts. As a form of folk art, Ningxia papercuts not only have aesthetic value but also reflect people's pursuit of auspiciousness, festivity, and blessings.(3) Through the application of literature review, field research, and interdisciplinary study methods, an effective industry-academia-research model for the protection, inheritance, and management of Ningxia papercut culture has been proposed. This model focuses on industrial support, academic research, talent training, community participation, and international exchange. Through the organic combination of industry, academia, and research, the inheritance and development of Ningxia papercut culture have been realized. This model provides important references and guidance for the future development of Ningxia papercuts.
