Research on the patterns of blue and white porcelain flowers in the Ming Dynasty, in order to create blue and white works with new floral patterns

Abstract

          This research takes "Research on Flower Patterns of Blue and White Porcelain in the Ming Dynasty" for research and create blue and white porcelain with new floral patterns. Through the literature research method and field investigation method, the research purposes are: (1) To study the flower painting techniques of Jingdezhen blue and white porcelain in the Ming Dynasty. (2) To study the floral patterns of blue and white porcelain in the Ming Dynasty. (3) In order to create new blue and white flower patterns and new blue and white porcelain works. The research methods are literature analysis and field investigation.   
          The results show: (1) The flower painting techniques of Jingdezhen blue and white porcelain in the Ming Dynasty mainly include: line drawing, water separation, stippling, stem picking and white space. (2) The flower patterns of Jingdezhen blue and white porcelain in the Ming Dynasty are characterized by a naturalistic style. The pattern layout pays attention to balance and harmony, and the flower patterns have different meanings. (3) Integrate traditional Chinese blue and white porcelain art with contemporary art. When designing new blue and white porcelain patterns, combine traditional floral elements with modern aesthetics to create new blue and white floral pattern works.
