Abstract

          In this study, the integration of protection and management of Shikumen residential architecture and decorative patterns was studied from different aspects such as Shikumen residential architecture, decorative patterns, sustainable use and management, determination of management strategies and management system. This study was a mixed method research, the qualitative and quantitative methods were used. Heritage impact assessment, heritage index value analysis and strategic goal setting for Shikumen residential decoration were performed. The results showed that the study of protection and strategic management of decorative patterns for Shikumen residential buildings and cultural heritage has certain practical and theoretical significance.
