Outline of the Study of Conditions Affecting the Decision to Elect Members of the Tambon Administrative Organization of the People in Muang District Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

          In the research study on the study of conditions affecting the decision to vote for members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, the objectives are 1) to study the conditions affecting the decision to vote for members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, 2) to study the satisfaction of the people affecting the decision to vote for members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province. This is a mixed methods research between quantitative research using survey research from questionnaires and qualitative research by in-depth interviews with key informants. The researcher studied the concepts, theories and related research using research instruments, including questionnaires and interview forms. The researcher distributed 397 questionnaires to the sample population and received 397 correct and complete questionnaires, accounting for 100 percent of all questionnaires. The data were then analyzed using a ready-made social science program. The interview forms were used for in-depth interviews with 23 key informants, and the data were analyzed for summary content.
          The research results found that
          1. Conditions affecting the decision to elect members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen ProvinceIt was found that from the distribution of the questionnaire on the opinions of the people, 397 people, classified by gender, age, status, education level and occupation. The study of the conditions affecting the decision to elect members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, the details are as follows: 181 males, accounting for 45.59 percent, 111 aged between 51 and 60 years, 136 married, 140 primary school students, accounting for 35.50 percent, and 173 monthly incomes below 5,000 baht. The decision to elect members of the sub-district administrative organization of the people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, overall, was at a high level ( = 4.27, S.D. = 0.37). When considering each aspect, it was at a high level. When the average values ​​were arranged from highest to lowest, it was found that the attitude of the people ( = 4.31, S.D. = 0.54), followed by the motivation of the people to participate in development activities ( = 4.30, S.D. = 0.55), the participation of the people in the implementation ( = 4.26, S.D. = 0.56), and the leadership of community leaders ( = 4.20, S.D. = 0.52).
          2. People's satisfaction affects the decision to elect members of the sub-district administrative organization of people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province. It was found that the decision of people in the election of the mayor of the sub-district administrative organization in Waeng Noi District, Khon Kaen Province, the decision to elect a person who is kind, generous, selfless and can devote time for the public, is sincere, has a desire for the people, for the community, wants to develop the community to be prosperous, has a better life, is a person who is beneficial to the community, for society, is consistent, helps those who are in trouble, always helps villagers, is a person who has knowledge and ability, can plan to solve various problems of the community well, the decision to elect a person who likes to help villagers, helps the community, wants the community to be free from hardship, is a person who helps villagers very well, has good intentions for villagers, is a good person, is fair, can distinguish right from wrong, is a person who pities others, wants others to be free from suffering, must help those under his rule to be free from suffering, help the underprivileged to have a better life without discriminating between groups or communities, is fair, can create equality in society, is a person who can solve the problems of the community, is a person who helps society, is a person who has knowledge and ability, has principles of management, can help society to have a better life, the decision to elect a person who is sincere, chooses a good person, is happy when others are doing well and are happy. Wanting others to be happy, generating income, creating careers, taking care of every community and village, being a person who is happy when seeing others doing well, not being jealous, being united, having a plan to work successfully, planning to help people thoroughly, leading the community to progress, being happy and happy in the success of others, making decisions to select a good leader, letting go, not being too attached, being fair, trying to think, consider, and be neutral, being fair, helping people with sincerity, not dividing into groups or sides, being neutral, managing with fairness, being fair, not making things worse for those in distress, and being able to solve problems. The analysis of people's satisfaction with the decision to elect members of the sub-district administrative organization of people in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province found that the overall policy of the candidates was at a high level ( =3.97), the overall characteristics of the candidates were at a high level ( = 4.00), the overall campaign of the candidates was at a high level ( =4.00), the overall personal relationship with the candidates was at a moderate level ( =3.23), and the overall decision to vote was at a high level ( =4.18).
