Desirable characteristics of the library and information sciences graduates as perceived of business enterprises in Digital Era

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study and compare the desirable characteristics of the library and information sciences graduates from bachelor of the library and information sciences as perceived by business enterprises in Digital Era. The samples for this research were 50 business enterprises, 24 of government agencies, 17 of Private library, and 9 of other institutions. The instruments for this research was questionnaire. The statistics for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The research finds that the total level of desirable characteristics of the library and information sciences graduates as perceived by the business enterprises was high ( =4.35). There were three highest average sides as follows: personal relationship and responsibility skills ( =4.50), morality ( = 4.45), and communication and information technology respectively ( =4.36). The results of comparative study between government and private sector on the desirable characteristics of graduates in morality was statistically significant difference at 0.05 levels.
