Factors Influencing the Efficiency of ‘Work From Home’ Relating to Personnel of the Library Cooperation Network in the Educational Quality Assurance During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the factors influencing the efficiency of ‘work from home’ (WFH) during the COVID-19 pandemic as it pertained to the personnel of the ‘Library Cooperation Network’ to ensure compliance with the Educational Quality Assurance standards.
For the purposes of this study, the attitudes of the participants as it related to WFH were measured and furthermore, Subjective Norm and Perceived Behavioral Control theories were used in order to establish a framework for this investigation. A questionnaire using a five-level Likert scale was employed as an instrument for data collection. The 286 participants in this study were selected from the Library Cooperation Network’s personnel using stratified random sampling and following the Educational Quality Assurance guidelines. The statistical data were then analyzed using frequency, percentages, means and standard deviation, as well as through multiple regression analysis and by Pearson’s Correlation.
The results revealed that the opinions of the participants were at a high level ( = 3.49) as it pertained to WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the results of the study also indicated that this level of satisfaction was conditional upon three factors, namely: the perceived usefulness, the compatibility and perceived ease of use, and available resources and technology platforms, which significantly influenced the efficiency of personnel when working from home during the pandemic (significant level of 0.05), which translates into the WFH efficiency level of 79.3% (R2 = 0.79).
