บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบอัตราการได้รับการอ้างอิงของบทความในวารสารแบบบอกรับสมาชิก (Subscription) และวารสารแบบเปิด (Open Access) ของมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ที่ได้รับการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารระดับนานาชาติของฐานข้อมูล Scopus ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2557-2566 (10 ปี) ใน 3 กลุ่มสาขาวิชาคือ กลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ 8 สาขาวิชา กลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี 13 สาขาวิชา และกลุ่มสาขาวิชามนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ 6 สาขาวิชา รวมทั้งหมด 27 สาขาวิชา ผลการวิจัยพบว่าวารสารแบบบอกรับสมาชิก มีอัตราการได้รับการอ้างอิงสูงกว่าวารสารแบบเปิด ทั้ง 3 กลุ่มสาขาวิชาเรียงตามลำดับ คือ กลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี กลุ่มสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ และกลุ่มสาขาวิชามนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ ด้วยวารสารแบบบอกรับสมาชิกมีค่า Impact Factor สูง มีกระบวนการ Peer review ที่เข้มงวดส่งผลให้บทความที่ตีพิมพ์มีคุณภาพสูง ทำให้นักวิจัยนิยมใช้อ้างอิงเพื่อเพิ่มความน่าเชื่อถือให้กับผลงานของตนเอง ในขณะที่วารสารแบบเปิดได้รับการอ้างอิงสูงกว่าในบางสาขาเนื่องจากสามารถเข้าถึงบทความได้รวดเร็วส่งผลให้ถูกอ้างอิงได้เร็วขึ้น โดยมีข้อเสนอแนะจากผลการวิจัยดังนี้นักวิจัยควรพิจารณาเลือกวารสารสำหรับการตีพิมพ์ให้สอดคล้องกับลักษณะของงานวิจัยและเป้าหมายของการเผยแพร่ ให้ความสำคัญทั้งคุณภาพ ความน่าเชื่อถือ และระดับการเข้าถึงของกลุ่มผู้อ่าน ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยควรมีนโยบายส่งเสริมการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารทั้ง 2 ประเภทอย่างสมดุล ส่งเสริมการเข้าถึงฐานข้อมูลวิชาการ และจัดอบรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับเกณฑ์การประเมินคุณภาพวารสาร ในระดับห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยควรพัฒนาระบบการจัดหาทรัพยากรสารสนเทศในรูปแบบผสมผสาน เพื่อรองรับการเข้าถึงวารสารทั้งแบบบอกรับสมาชิกและแบบเปิด พร้อมทั้งจัดบริการให้คำปรึกษา ส่งเสริมการใช้ฐานข้อมูล และพัฒนาคลังข้อมูลดิจิทัลของมหาวิทยาลัยอย่างเป็นระบบ ตลอดจนดำเนินการประเมินผลและปรับปรุงบริการอย่างต่อเนื่อง
