Motivation towards entrepreneurial intention: A case study of business students in Southern region of Thailand

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influences of attitude towards entrepreneur, psychological capital, risk-taking propensity on entrepreneurial intention. The responses of 412 business students in Southern region of Thailand were selected using purposive sampling method. Data was analyzed using regression analysis. Results revealed that attitude towards entrepreneur and psychological capital have statistically significant influence on entrepreneurial intention at p-value of 0.01. Risk-taking propensity had positive and insignificant effect. Findings suggests that the development of attitude and personality towards entrepreneurship is essential for promoting students to be young entrepreneur.
