Establish of Work-Life Balance of Professional Nurses among Dynamics of Covid-19

This qualitative research focused to understand the work-life balance and conditions related to work-life balance in terms of COVID-19; and to propose guidelines for developing the work-life balance of professional nurses. The key informants were professional with experience in caring for patients with COVID-19, with six cases over six months; for one case under private agency and five cases under government agency. And those who are primarily involved with professional nurses from six cases; supervisor, colleagues and family members. Data were analyzed according to qualitative method. In terms of the definition of work-life balance were the equal distribution of time between work and family and adjustment in every role. The characteristics of creating a work-life balance in three parts: time limit, professional value and subsistence income. There were conditions to encourage work-life balance, including adjustment to situations and optimism. The external factors included supervisors and family members to support colleagues. The guidelines for developing work-life balance found that support from supervisors, colleagues, family members and the ability of professional nurses to integrate their professional and personal lives. Professional nurses achieved a balance in work, family and personal life. Professional nurses can be applied in accordance with the work-life balance. The organization of nurses can be used to determine the work standards of professional nurses to balance work and life.
