The effect of eclectic group counseling program on self-esteem of teacher student

The purposes of this research are 1) to compare the self-esteem of student teachers in the experimental group before and after participant eclectic group counseling program on self-esteem among student teachers and 2) to compare the self-esteem of student teachers in the experimental and the control group before and after participant eclectic group counseling program on self-esteem among student teachers. The samples in this study included sixteen first-year students from the Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University of the mean self-esteem below the twenty-five percentile to voluntarily participate in the eclectic group counseling program after researcher of match subject to random assignment divided into eight experimental groups and a control group. The research instruments included the self-esteem of student teachers and an eclectic group counseling program on the self-esteem of the student teacher program. The statistical analyses employed were the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U Test. The research results were as follows: (1) the post eclectic group counseling program on self-esteem among student teachers in the experimental group revealed that self-esteem significantly increased at a level of .01; and (2) the post eclectic group counseling program on the self-esteem of student teachers in the experimental group were self-esteem than student teachers in the control group at a level of .01.
