The Study on Problems in Performance of Roles of Volunteers on Social Development and Human Security in the Assistance for Persons with Mobility disabilities to Access the Rights for the Handicap in Handicapped People Supports and Live Quality Improvemen

Abstract

The Purpose of this research was to study on problems in the performance and guidelines for the development of the performance according to roles of volunteers on Social  Development and Human Security in assisting persons with mobility disabilities in accordance with Supports and Live Quality Improvement B.E. 2550 (A.D. 2007) and the Revision (2^nd Revision) B.E. 2556 (A.D. 2013). This research was designed as a mixed method research consisting of quantitative research method whereby data are collected with questionnaire from 243 volunteers on Social  Development and Human Security, and qualitative method with the interviews with the Chairperson of the  Volunteers on Social  Development and Human Security of Nakhon Nayok Province, the Chairperson of Volunteers on Social  Development and Human Security of Ban Na District and Volunteers on Social  Development and Human Security of Nakhon Nayok Province, for 3 people in total. The findings from the study show that there are problems concerning the performance in accordance with roles of Volunteers on Social Development and Human Security in assisting persons with Mobility disabilities. In the overview, the problem is in the moderate level. Considered individually, the most important problem is the problem of knowledge, followed by the problems of the performance in the area and personal problems, respectively. As for the guidelines for the development, it has been suggested that the emphasis should be put on the enhancement of knowledge with the Brotherly Teaching Tactic for both Online and Offline operations. In addition, team work and also the enhancement of the skills to write project proposals to get supports from external organization should be focused on. In addition, the registration to establish the voluntary groups as organizations for public interest should be encouraged.
