Abstract

Political communication is a crucial component of the political system, functioning like a neural network that connects all sectors. The absence of certain aspects of communication can lead to inadequate dissemination of information, affecting citizens’ understanding of their rights and roles in political participation, particularly at the local level. Community representatives and the general public often lack access to information regarding oversight, monitoring of local administrative organizations, or their rights to propose local regulations and initiate the removal of local executives. Additionally, communication from government agencies is often one-way rather than fostering two-way interaction, which limits the scope of public participation. In the digital era, political communication also plays a significant role in maintaining the government’s image through both formal and informal channels. Public relations agencies collaborate with political parties to align communication strategies with government policies. Strategic political communication planning is therefore essential in enhancing the government’s image through digital media. These approaches benefit relevant agencies in formulating strategies to improve and refine the effectiveness of political communication.
